this Tourism and Hospitality Institution stands out, but
also the quality of its teaching, research and dedication to
community engagement.
Due to the dramatic and steady increase in demand through
the years of operation of the STAYS concept and the rapid
growth in tourism in South Africa, a definite need has
developed for accredited training to compete with
international standards in all levels of the workforce in
the Group and broader industry.
We decided that while we have to develop training for the
STAYS Group, we can also develop training for the broader
hospitality spectrum.
Being known for our outstanding accommodation services, many
students approach us for their 6 months practical in the
guesthouse. Through the years we realized that these
learners have a lot of theoretical knowledge, but lack the
practical skills in the industry. A great need for more
structured hands-on training were identified and a STAYS
in-house training program as well as structured accredited
training, teaching specific skills were developed.
Our all in one facility give us the opportunity to train in
various fields, as we have the know-how, the expertise and
the facilities.
Apart from the fact that we are a main stream employer, we
are also a lead employer hosting learners.
AUXANO training & education is established in May 2006. This
new institution enrolls learners by application for the
Phase A (three month period) of the Learning Programme.
Learners will then, through a qualifying process enroll for
the Phase B (a Six month period) of the Programme that is
part of an accredited qualification. These will open doors
for workplace, academic, training opportunities as well as
the opportunity to initiate new ventures within the STAYS
Group and broader industry.

At AUXANO Training & Education we believe that a human being

facilitation can only continually challenge a learner to

the facilitation is to help the learner through a process of
leaning to realise the Godly potential on the inside and how
to release it maximally to the outside, fulfilling his or
her purpose and destiny to the full.
Auxano Training & Education headquarters is situated in
Matlosana, North West, with workplaces in three of South
Africa's Provinces – North West, Gauteng, Western Province
as well as Namibia.
The training centre in Matlosana forms the administrative
backbone and official address of the Institution, with all
directives for training units & workplaces channeled and
cleared through this office.
AUXANO Training & Education is proud of their highly
qualified staff members that not only have the academic
skills, but have a balanced background of qualification and
work experience.
The teaching staff is increasingly focusing on conducting
applied workplace integration and research in addition to
their instructional roles, not only instructing for study
objectives, but caring and assisting the learners to
establish them in the marketplace.
AUXANO Training & Education is governed by an Advisory
Board.
The Management Committee is accountable to the Board for all
the teaching, learning, research, community engagement and
academic functions of the Institution. The day-to-day
management and administration of the Institution is handled
by the Management Committee.
Not only from the view point of best practices in education,
but also to expand the industry, is it clear that research
management at a strategic and operational level is vital.
The facilitation of research-related training, ensuring
total quality management for this service, forms part of the
management’s key performance areas.
One of our institution’s key focuses is Tourism &
Hospitality development of the North West region with growth
potential in all nine provinces. The institution’s goal is
not only to create work, but to also provide the market with
a career-focused workforce. It aims at making a significant
